New project for Cork Nursing Homes Bridhaven
Our residents in the nursing home quite enjoy arts and crafts. We try to come up with new ideas all the time to keep a good bit of variety in the daily activities.
Every year for October we, in the knitting club of the nursing home, knit hats for age action Ireland and innocent smoothie drinks.
I contacted the Person In Charge of the Neo-Natal Cork University Maternity Hospital and asked would they like our group to knit any items for the babies and thus our new project took off.
We are at present knitting blankets and cardigans for the babies and enjoying every minute of this latest venture of the nursing home. Everyone in the knitting group and also other residents of the Nursing home quite excited about the little blankets that are being produced on all three floors here in Bridhaven.
Below is Sheila with one of the blankets that she has made in the knitting group.
